Pacific Islands Fisheries Group Tagging Update
Aloha Taggers,
A wet January with heavy rains, flooding and freshwater flowing to the ocean. NOAA stated that": “La Niña conditions are present and are expected to persist through February-April 2025.” What does this means for our fisheries as we are coming off a triple El Niño cycle? If you have any thoughts please reach out and let us know.
We had 27 fish tagged and one recapture reported in January, showing another strong month of tagging. Thank you to all the taggers for your support and effort getting out there.
